Francesco Geminiani Concerti Grossi and Trio Sonatas Yet another reincarnation of that ubiquitous "La Folia", recently reviewed in the Allesandro Scarlatti version (also Hyperion Helios) and discussed by Clifford Bartlett in Early Music Review. This is a thoroughly delectable compilation, alternating two groups, large (two concerti grossi) and small sonatas with many famous names in the HIP world featured, such as Catherine Mackintosh and Elizabeth Wallfisch (q.v. a recent review of music by a younger member of the "Wallfisch family dynasty"!).
