Regis - RRC1356 [Recorded 1990]

I have been mystified by a batch of these budget CDs from Regis; quality variable, mostly good; liner notes mostly perfunctory, unsigned, unattributed notes & images and lacking essential information re sources etc...

In that respect, this is one of the worst, though the disc itself and its re-issue is eminently worthwhile. Help is at hand through Gramophone's archive, with a review which clears up all the mysteries. Most of the items are arrangements; we told so only for La Valse...

The recording quality is fine and the disc well filled and entirely delectable.

Pastorale d'été

Regis - RRC1328 [75 mins]
