Another prolific Russian (b. 1939) rewarding his revival by Toccata.

Not greatly original maybe, but reliably crafted music from 1966-2007 and good listening.

The idiom seems to be post-Prokofiev, and I enjoyed best the shorter pieces, which are economical and within moderate amateur scope.

Better than another collected works of a, b, or c, with which new pianists more often seek to make their mark with a calling card...
