Swedish Concerts London

A welcome compilation of live recordings from concerts which we have enjoyed, organised by London-based violinist Bjorn Kleinman at London's Swedish Church.

This wide-ranging disc embraces known names (Larsson, Rangström & Stenhammer) and many others (Gothe, Stearn etc) who deserve to be better known.

Well prepared performances, expertly recorded in the excellent acoustic of this church which was unfamiliar to many London residents, including ourselves. Full details on a great website, with some sample tracks to hear in full.

The ingenious packaging (JakeBox) is notable, one of several which have superceded the unsatisfactory old jewel-box...
