Scottish Voices etc/Ravello RR 877

This new CD is a state of the Art production, slimline with "liner notes", texts (essential) and full scores all accessible only on your computer. If the latter (upstairs) is in a different room from your best listening equipment as mine (downstairs), there are snags, but I s'pose we'll have to get used to them and adapt.

If you're not too keen on the sound of four shrilly interweaving high soprano voices, you'd do better to sample first Hair's Turkish Songs for just one soprano, clarinet and digital harmonium.

All the scores are there for your study too, sharp and clear; this disc is therefore recommended as essential purchase for people who want to be "with it". Navigation is quickly mastered.
